Denise M. Portnoy practices employment law. She joined the firm in 2009 and represents employees in matters arising from the employment relationship, including claims involving discrimination, harassment, wrongful discharge in violation of public policy, and breach of contract. She is currently licensed to practice law in all Missouri state courts.
Ms. Portnoy graduated from the University of Kansas Honors Program in 2006 with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Political Science and obtained a Juris Doctor from the University of Minnesota School of Law in 2009. While in law school, Ms. Portnoy was on the National Moot Court competition team and served as student director of the Workers’ Rights Law Clinic.
Ms. Portnoy is a member of the National Employment Lawyers Association (NELA), which is a national organization comprised of attorneys who advocate for employee rights and workplace fairness. She is also a member of the Missouri Bar, the Bar Association of Metropolitan St. Louis (BAMSL) and the Women Lawyers’ Association of Greater St. Louis (WLA).
