Michael Goldberg is a partner of Dobson, Goldberg, Berns & Rich, LLP and practices in the areas of workers' compensation, civil litigation, and labor law. Mr. Goldberg graduated from the University of Florida in 1986 with a degree in economics, and he obtained his law degree in 1989 from the University of Kansas. Mr. Goldberg joined the firm in 1989 after clerking for the firm for two years. He is licensed to practice in both Missouri and Illinois. He is also licensed to practice in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Missouri and the United States Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit.
Mr. Goldberg has handled many complex claims, including medical malpractice, product liability, and workers' compensation matters, and has successfully litigated numerous cases in both state and federal courts. He has received verdicts and settlements in excess of one million dollars. He has also obtained multiple awards for permanent and total disability benefits through the workers' compensation systems of Missouri and Illinois. Mr. Goldberg has argued cases in the Supreme Court of Missouri, the Missouri Court of Appeals, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit.
Mr. Goldberg is actively involved in The Bar Association of Metropolitan St. Louis (BAMSL). He has served as the Chair of BAMSL's Fee Dispute committee since approximately 2001. He is also certified as a mediator under the rules of the Supreme Court of Missouri. He has lectured at many different events on topics relating to workers' compensation and other civil matters. He also writes newspaper articles for a number of unions regarding the legal rights and remedies of working individuals.
